HUNTER

Loyal Friesians Horse Rescue Inc. (LFHR) was founded in 2017 when our founder, Lisa Fara, collided with an abandoned Friesian named Hunter. Her rescue experience with Hunter, gave them five years together, creating an eternal bond, changing her life forever and inspiring her to share her passion for horses with the world . As the founding member of our herd at LFHR, Hunter’s story is carried on through our mission to give Friesians and draft horse breeds, a second chance at life providing a forever sanctuary for them when they are surrendered due to owner hardships, physical and emotional traumas, auctions or kill pens.

OUR MISSION

Dedicated to saving the lives of Friesian horses and draft horse breeds that are unwanted, abused, neglected, in danger of slaughter, suffer from trauma injuries and from conditions when owners are unable to provide for their needs. We offer a sanctuary of rehabilitation, training, healing modalities and a permanent home to live out their lives in happy, peaceful surroundings.
